Welcome to Little Devil Backpackers, one of Tasmania’s newest and best appointed backpackers accommodation located at the gateway to beautiful Southern Tasmania with its natural scenic attractions, native cool climate forests and abundant wildlife and gateway to the picturesque Huon Valley, one of Australia’s premier fruit growing and fruit picking districts. We are conveniently located on the main road in Huonville; right on the main bus route from Hobart and only an easy 10-15 minute walk to all the down-town cafes, shops and banks. We are also situated within walking distance or a modest bicycle ride to local orchards and the seasonal work opportunities they provide. Limited off-street parking is available on-site.
We aim to provide a cosy home away from home environment for all our guests, our facilities include a well appointed modern kitchen with individual food lockers, indoor or out door dining facilities, comfortable BBQ area, 42in LCD TV and DVD player, Austar cable TV connection and log fire in our common living room. Internet access including WIFI connection is available for those of you who prefer to use your own notebook/laptops. All rooms are 4 berth dorms (2 double bunks), free bed linen including duvet, is provided to all our guests upon checking in. Each bed is appointed with its own private reading light for those night owls or for those who just feeling like kicking back and chilling in their dorm. A limited number of tent sites are also available for campers.
Little Devil Backpackers follows a philosophy of environmentally responsible management; we provide gas boosted evacuated tube solar hot water in summer and recycle the heat from our log fire into our hot water service in winter. All lighting uses low wattage fluro globes and all walls and ceilings are insulated thereby minimising energy use (and keeping our guests cosy). Help us to help you to minimise your
